Klaudt Indian Foundation to participate in "Alaska Sharathon"

The Mission Alliance Ministry in conjunction with KICY Nome Alaska and the Moody Broadcasting Network has invited the Klaudt Indian Family to participate in their 2007 Alaska Sharathon.

This Mission Ministry has been faithfully presenting the Gospel since Easter Sunday 1960. The outlet of the ministry is KICY, a 50,000 watt radio station that is the only ministry of the Gospel that reaches many villages and towns across a large area of Alaska.

Its directional tower also reaches west into Russia, serving many Russian listeners in their own language. The signal blankets Eastern Siberia and is often heard in St. Petersburg. The signal of KICY also reaches into areas of Sweden, Norway, Japan, Finland with the Gospel and Southern Gospel Music. Again, in many instances, it is the only Christian voice that is heard.

KICY is the only standard U.S. broadcast licensed station of its kind. It had to receive special permission from the FCC and the IRC to direct its 50,000 watt signal across a foreign border. It is a honor for the Klaudt Foundation to participate in a ministry that is the only source of spiritual comfort Arctic listeners will have. The Sharathon is to remind and continue to emphasize the need to rebuild the tower and tuning section that was burned in a fire last year.

On Tuesday April 24, 2007, the Klaudt Indian Family will be featured all day on the Sharathon with personal family interviews. We want to thank Barry Flynt and Old Time Christian Radio in North Carolina for emailing some of the Klaudt Songs from their MP3 Files.

Remember to pray and support this needed missionary ministry that reaches some of the most forgotten people with the message of Christ through Southern Gospel Music.
